Our History
Since about 2010, Pastor Rick Brosher has allowed homeless people to have a safe place to stay on the church property in campers, tents, and their vehicles. At the beginning of 2015, God made it clear to Pastor Brosher to begin building cabins to help homeless people. In September of 2015, we opened our first cabin. We currently have 12 cabins at Hand-Up Village.
Since 2015, we have housed nearly 350 people from our community. Hand-Up Village is a faith-based organization built on the scriptures found in Isaiah 58:7 “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless… Jesus is our cornerstone and all we are attempting to do is built on Him.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide a place where people can overcome the obstacles of the past to have a successful future. We want to equip our guests to be the best they can be so that they can become independent and successful. We believe that by investing in these people we are investing in the future of our community.
